Wood are currently recruiting for a Nuclear HVAC Designer to join our Nuclear Services business at our Warrington Office. The role is to become part of a growing project team undertaking design and consultancy for nuclear containment ventilation systems primarily in areas of decommissioning but also growth areas of New Build and major EPC.

Skills / Qualifications
The successful individual shall be responsible for the production and development of HVAC and Building Service Systems designs using 2D and 3D design tools.
  • Extensive scheme and detailed design of plant and equipment using AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of the requirements for producing services routing drawings, general arrangement and sub assembly drawings, single line diagrams and functional diagrams.
  • To provide support and mentoring to other HVAC designers and apprentices on projects where necessary.
  • Previous UK Nuclear Industry Experience preferred but not essential if experience of high integrity design or hazardous industries can be demonstrated.
  • Qualifications that will be considered are design and draught apprentice HNC/HND, degree in CAD/CAE, mechanical or building services engineering or similar.
