Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for Structural Integrity Engineers to works in its Aberdeen office.

Candidates are being sought with a technical background however previous Oil and Gas industry experience is not a requirement as a full training package will be provided.

We put our clients first by delivering industry leading Structural Integrity Management support. This support covers all types of offshore assets both fixed and floating, and onshore facilities. Successful candidates will be working as part of a team alongside structural engineers and analysts to create and support ongoing inspection regimes, review inspection results, assess and action accordingly. Thereby ensuring that asset condition is fully understood and appropriately managed.

  • Detailed Description
  • Development of structural integrity management systems
  • Development of topsides and subsea inspection strategies and workscopes
  • Anomaly sentencing
  • Maintaining and developing inspection databases
  • Support to authoritative reviews
  • Risk Assessment of Topside, Jackets, Caissons and Conductors
  • Prioritisation of repairs and inspection activities
  • Supporting onshore facilities within the energy, defence, and mining sectors
  • Defect assessment and development of repairs
  • Support to wider Structural Integrity Management activities as required
  • Maintain and develop client, and 3 rd party relationships
  • Enhance your expertise in this field, maintain knowledge of industry trends and innovations
  • Assist in development of internal processes and procedures
  • Scope definition, CTR preparation
  • Budget and delivery responsibility
  • Input to business development and the bidding process


Skills / Qualifications
Requirements

  • Technical background
  • Structural, Civil experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical data (drawings, reports, site information)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems
  • Degree qualified (Bachelor's or Master's) preferred
  • Pragmatic approach
  • Strong desire to learn, innovate, contribute to group and own individual success
