Overview / Responsibilities
Following the award of new work, Wood is currently recruiting for a Pipeline Integrity Engineer with experience in providing integrity engineering support to UKCS pipeline assets. The role will be based within the Sir Ian Wood House Office in Aberdeen. Typical work scopes included within the remit of the Pipeline Integrity Engineer are:
Developing pipeline integrity management documentation and conducting integrity reviews
Undertaking pipeline Risk Based Inspection Assessments
Developing inspection schedules
Assessing the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities and making recommendations to ensure continuing fitness for service
Undertaking Fitness for Service assessments

Skills / Qualifications
Skills and Competencies
Good technical report writing skills
Good communicator both written and verbal (fluent in English)
Team player with good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to those in a wide range of organisation positions
Able to work with some autonomy and without close supervision but seeks support when required
Capacity to understand complex problems and work collaboratively to identify practical and technically sound solutions
An ability to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of and be able to use applicable codes and standards in the integrity or related fields
Provide integrity engineering expertise based upon knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, asset operating environments/processes and the likelihood of failure and associated consequences for a variety of Energy Industry assets
Familiar with NDE techniques
Ensures the effective application of innovative engineering applications and specialist technologies
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering first class integrity engineering services
Proactively initiates continuous improvements to processes and seeks to eliminate waste and inefficiency
Correctly adheres to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
Business and Industry Experience
Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
Experience in a role requiring some client contact
Experience of taking the lead engineering role in some smaller projects
Educational Attainments
Degree in Engineering (Essential)
Post-graduate qualification (Desirable)
Chartered Engineer (Desirable) or working towards Chartered status
