QHSE Manager – Amsterdam

I am currently recruiting on behalf of owner, developer and operator of onshore wind farms with nearly 1GW of projects in Europe, with a view to grow at a rate 100MW per annum. They are looking for an experience health and safety professional to develop & implement their HSE rules and systems company wide.

  • Develop and implement the HSE management system, HSE rules and QHSE documentation.
  • Scrutinise the regulators, identification of the applicable requirements, compliance assessment, and proposal of actions to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Support and advice management and local teams.
  • Health and Safety at Works: site management and coordination, contractor management, works at height, lifting and handling, electrical hazards (low voltage and medium/high voltage), mechanical directive, etc.
  • Environment: wind energy project specific requirements, works near utilities and networks, waste management, etc.
  • Preparation of risk analysis/risk assessment documentation and method statements and thorough examination of third party risk analysis and method statements.
  • Reporting and investigation of QHSE related events (incidents, preventive reports), definitions and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Internal and external QHSE audits.
  • Define HSE training requirements and of HSE requirement for contractors/subcontractors.
Profile required;
  • Extensive QHSE experience essential
  • O&M experience of onshore wind farms desirable
  • HSE supervision/coordination (constructions, operation, maintenance) in the wind industry.
  • Knowledge of EU country specific HSE laws and regulations, electrical standards, and height and crane operations standards are required.
  • Knowledge management with certificates ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 is advisable.
  • Languages: English fluently
  • Results-oriented and able to tackle any problem, developing a realistic vision of QHSE stakes and priorities.
  • Leadership skills are required.
  • Negotiable annual salary dependent on experience (includes holiday allowance of 8%), plus 10% variable bonus
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Commuting expenses covered
  • Full time in Amsterdam
  • Some travel to sites across Europe
