One of the largest independent providers of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions within the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager as they continue to experience significant growth within the UK energy market. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, exciting business at the forefront in the delivery of energy projects into both the public and private sectors.
Scope of work
Reporting into the Central London headquarters, as Project Manager you will be tasked with managing and co-ordinating energy network projects from concept through to delivery; encompassing bid/preferred bid stage through to completion and operational handover. The projects worked on will be valued at circa £4m-£5m, and will be within both the public and private sectors, working with the likes of councils, hospitals, government organisations and private manufacturers.
Overseeing the entire project, the Project Manager will be responsible for sub-contract management, health and safety, customer relationships and co-ordinating activity. Projects can range in size from energy centre installations through to large network schemes, working closely with operations and customer-facing departments. It is essential that as Project Manager, you're able to remain organised and able to effectively plan projects in order to achieve delivery on-time and to budget.
The role will encompass travel to project sites across the United Kingdom approximately 2-3 days a week.
- Experience managing design and build projects within the energy sector (CHP, District Heating, Boiler or Generator experience would be advantageous).
- A technical engineering background, either mechanical or electrical.
- A proven record demonstrating commercial acumen
- Be willing to commute across the United Kingdom to projects as and when required
- Be able to commute to the Central London office.
