Department
The Global Finance team is primarily responsible in providing standardized, rule based services to the region. Proactively works with Regional Finance, Treasury and other SSC functional areas to ensure issues and concerns are addressed positively and in accordance within prescribed deadlines.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Reporting and Compliance. It is based in Madrid, in regional headquarter of Vestas covering reporting of around 40 entities within South Europe and Latin America. Main responsibilities are:
  • Hands on involvement in month-end consolidation and control process to ensure timely and accurate closure of financial statements to headquarter
  • Control of MED Cost Center and management reporting structure and close coordination of changes with Group and Masterdata
  • Control and overview of overhead costs in region with aim to provide detailed and complete analytical summary of developments and budget variances to operations and Group functions
  • Coordinating yearly overhead budget process with involved parties and validation of its monthly revisions (forecast)
  • Financial control of segment reporting results supported with in depth analysis of the developments and variances to expectations
  • Participating in monthly management reporting cycles securing top quality of information and analytics
  • Responsible for enhancements and improvements to reporting tools in order to optimize systems and reduce inefficiencies
  • Supporting regional entities with ad hock queries on processes, policies and financial guidelines
Qualifications and work experience
  • Very strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
  • Strong excel/access skills; knowledge of SQL, VBA or other programming tools is considered a plus
  • Knowledge of financial systems (SAP/BPC or similar)
  • 1-2 years' professional experience within a finance department, preferably within an international company
  • Fluent English, Spanish is optional
  • A customer-focused attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently on tight deadlines and under pressure
