The Role:

The Claims Analyst works primarily with the Associate Environmental Health and Safety Manager in the management of the workers' compensation programs. A successful candidate for this role has worked in the insurance, safety, and risk management field with extensive experience managing a large volume of workers' compensation insurance claims and programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate insurance claims reporting to broker and insurer
  • Liaise with corporate counsel on litigated claims
  • Attend mediation and hearings as necessary
  • Responsible for subrogation management
  • Manage relationships with insurance claims adjusters
  • Manage third party administrator (TPA) relationship
  • Develop key performance indicators and measure results
  • Manage close and pay philosophy and return to work claims
  • Conduct open claims review (reserves, claims development, close and pay)
  • Manage medical bill review service provider
  • Manage deductible payments to insurer

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferably in Risk Management and Insurance (degree waived with industry claims certification or extensive experience in WC claims area, ARM or CPCU accreditation)
  • 3+ years of risk management and claims-related work experience, preferably in-house risk management, insurance broker, insurance company, or third party administrator experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Results-driven, with has a strong sense of urgency and is able to drive results
  • Service oriented, treats colleagues as clients
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where demands and priorities change rapidly
  • Robust organizational and time management skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Evidence of exceptional ability
