Strategy and Operations Lead


The Role

The Strategy & Operations Lead will support Tesla's Financial Services organization as we transform our operations and business processes/systems, supporting a seamless and digital end-to-end financing experience for Tesla customers across multiple product lines. This individual will be responsible for a team of experienced business analysts who will work closely with business partners from the Global Financial Services, Financial Systems, Sales, Delivery, Services, Treasury, Tax, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, and other cross-functional teams. A successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, experience leading a team, demonstrated success managing multiple projects within set deadlines, cross-functional leadership acumen, confidence in working with internal and external partners, and the ability to juggle competing priorities while delivering results.

  • Manage team of experienced business analysts responsible for creation of business requirement documentation that will directly influence development of homegrown platforms
  • Quickly and independently cultivate deep understanding of Tesla's financial product offerings, process flows and systems to influence product development, operational workflow, and data reliability
  • Synthesize and analyze data points from various areas of business to further recommend operational and system enhancements aimed at driving efficiency, scale and a seamless customer experience
  • Collaborate across markets with Bank Partner Management, Credit Origination and Funding Operations teams to identify key business needs; develop recommendations supported by data for operational improvements and/or system enhancements aimed at automation and efficiency; execute recommendations with product and engineering teams to deliver business requirements within deadline
  • Manage process change by educating business users of system and process changes; monitor and measure feedback on system and process performance

  • BA/BS degree in Business/Operations/Management Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Visio; Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Salesforce and Tableau preferred
  • 5+ years management consulting in operational environment preferred
  • Strong background in business analysis, creation & prioritization of requirements and user stories, project management, and user acceptance
  • Experience with Agile methodology a must
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand despite changes in work scope or focus
  • Extremely organized, numerate, strong attention to detail
  • Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude with the ability to think outside the box for solutions to complex challenges
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills
  • High energy, results oriented, dependable individual who will enjoy the challenge of a rapidly evolving global organization
