Tesla is seeking a software support engineer to take part in the support, design, and development of software for its current and next-generation sales, fulfillment, and customer systems for our Energy organization. The mission of our team is to streamline business operations, decrease costs, improve customer experiences, and solve the engineering challenges that haven't been solved yet! You will contribute to cross-functional system architecture and software system design with a clear focus on quality, scale, and ease of development.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Support, Quality Assurance, Software Engineers) in identifying product defects, designing solutions, and testing.
  • Work closely with Software Support to identify and resolve issues in production
  • Work closely with QA and dev team to troubleshoot and fix issues in QA
  • Improve and design monitoring systems solutions to improve the systems stability and data quality
  • Design test scenarios to identify system issues
  • Actively contribute to our documentation and update knowledgebase articles for system users and software support
  • Contribute to integration tests and writing code to deliver new features
  • Develops and maintains runbooks for all software support purposes.
  • Help the team to identify time sinks and speed bumpers in the software development lifecycle and provide solutions.


Must have:
  • 1+ experience on OOP
  • Experience with SQL
  • A passion for technology
  • A keen analytical mind and advanced problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to extraordinary customer experience.
  • Willing to learn different programming languages
  • Proven aptitude in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting critical SLAs and deadlines.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems.

Nice to have:
  • Exposure to Event-driven architecture
  • Experience with Python is a plus
  • Experience with Go is a plus
