The Digital Products Engineering team is at the forefront of building a consistent, global customer experience across all digital touchpoints and, by way of, we are the face of Tesla worldwide. This team is building the next generation infrastructure which allows our customers, living in 60+ countries, to understand, interact and purchase our amazing vehicles and energy products. This team also builds native and kiosk applications for our retail stores and back end systems that manage customer data and optimize scheduling for service centers and product installations.

Tesla is seeking a full-stack software engineer to take part in the design and development of software for its current and next-generation sales, fulfillment, and customer systems for our Energy organization. The mission of our team is to streamline business operations, decrease costs, improve customer experiences, and solve the engineering challenges that haven't been solved yet! You will contribute to cross-functional system architecture and software system design with a clear focus on quality, scale, and ease of development.

  • Design, development, and implementation of mission-critical web applications
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, high performing, high-volume production applications with users across the globe.
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing system designs and engineering processes.
  • Serves as the technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods.
  • Build internal systems and support business needs with your domain expertise.
  • Leverage your existing skills while learning and implementing new, open source technologies as Tesla grows.
  • This position will work closely with other application development teams, business analysts, business stakeholders and QA teams.

Qualifications :

  • BS/MS/PhD, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in a related field
  • Exposure to React.js, GO, C#, Python, Java and other open source technologies is a plus
  • Experience in optimization algorithms development (e.g. supply chain optimization, operations research, network design, machine learning, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of CS data structures, algorithmic design and complexity analysis
  • Knowledge of graph traversal algorithms such as Dijkstra's, DFS, BFS, Bellman-Ford, etc.
  • Good understanding of graph algorithms and data structures
  • Experience defining system architectures and designs, exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Bonus points if you have built geospatial services and datasets before, such as maps data, routing algorithms, traffic patterns, etc.
  • Architecture skills. You should have thoughts on constructing highly scalable software systems and knowledge of the principles of fault-tolerance, reliability and durability
  • Capacity to evaluate tradeoffs between correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time.
