Are you a qualified Mechanical / Hydro-Mechanical Engineer, working in the Aerospace, Automotive or Oil and Gas sector? Do you have relevant Systems Engineering knowledge and expertise? This would be the perfect opportunity to apply and develop your skills, working on existing and new projects with one of AKKA's key and long-term customers, Airbus.

We are seeking mechanical system engineers with hydraulic or fluid mechanical experience to join AKKA contributing to a large work package providing system validation and verification support to a major civil aerospace programme. With the opportunity to work on a range of projects, this role will appeal to engineers looking for a new challenge looking to develop their skills in hydro-mechanical systems.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities
• Writing hydro-mechanical systems development and validation/verification plans

• Defining and tracking requirements

• Producing technical documentation and follow-up of modifications

• Investigating in-service incidents

• Taking ownership of the validation and verification process including supplier coordination and follow-up, support for equipment procurement (e.g. Test rigs), managing hydro-mechanical equipment evolutions etc.

• Working closely with AKKA and customer engineering teams in the UK & France

Skills & Knowledge Required
• A relevant Engineering degree - Aerospace, Mechanical or similar

• Experience of Requirement Based Engineering / product development life cycle (V-Cycle)

• Experience within an Aerospace systems engineering environment

• Knowledge of aerospace physical systems - Hydro-Mechanical / Fluid-Mechanical

• Knowledge of any of the following aerospace standards: ARP4754, DO160

• Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with both customers & AKKA teams

• Excellent written English with a high level of attention to detail
