Calling all Bid Advisors/Bid Managers… Quanta are currently supporting a major energy client with the continued expansion of their renewable energy division. As part of this expansion we are currently looking for an assertive and highly organised individual to join their team on a permanent basis in either London or the Netherlands. 

You will be responsible for supporting on major proposals cradle to grave for EPCM projects across various countries and continents helping to secure an ever increasing market share to their offshore wind portfolio. You will be tasked with coordinating a bid team across the full lifecycle of tender process developing a coherent bid strategy that successfully interprets all specific regulatory, commercial and technical criteria and ensures a competitive and coherent bid is submitted on every occasion.

Daily duties to include;
  • Successfully interpret bid requirements to ensure a well formulated bid strategy can be developed.
  • Explanation of bid circumstances and supervision of the tender preparation. 
  • Review and analyse tender conditions and data to accumulate information for bids and prepare proposals responsive to government needs.
  • Formulate Bid Proposal, including approach, properties, program, organisation, budget, milestones, deliverables, responsibility outline.
  • Direct subject matters experts such as Commercial, Tax, Legal, Finance to make sure the correct data has been gathered.
  • Monitor and report advancements against the bid plan. Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks agreed by government.
  • Be capable of classifying and challenging any proposal by any member or advisor of the bid team that does not align with winning bid and the bid plan.
  • Preparation and checking of all certification and submissions to and from government.
Experience & skills needed;
  • Commercial Awareness - To be able to comprehend in excessive detail the needs and requirements of the party releasing the tender – governments/national energy regulator
  • Ability to keep organised and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills.
  • strong technical and commercial writing skills.
  • Experience communicating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Previous bid experience on a variation of major and multifaceted construction projects is essential.
  • Previous experience working for EPC contractor and bidding for Design, Build and Finance for power-related projects would be a bonus.
  • Expertise with sales, marketing, and business development would also be a bonus.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership showing strong culpability, ownership and ability to effectively lead a team of individuals in the quest of a shared goal.
  • Ability to work with and deliver to strict time schedules.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Legal is desirable.
  • Ability to mobilise when required for business matters.
  • Fluent English – Both verbal and written. Knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
