To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are looking for a Senior Project Controlle. The position will be based from our Reading or London New City Court office. R eporting into the Head of Project Controls and supporting a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide support to the Head of Project Controls to develop a UK wide project controls team ensuring delivery of business level objectives.
  • Provide direct support to our key projects and Project Managers ensuring the application of industry current technique and best practice across the business.
  • Promote and develop the use of Project Controls as a discipline and implement and embed current industry best practice.
  • Lead and develop integration with Global Integrated Delivery teams to undertake delivery of Project Controls from these regions.
  • Report to, and work closely with, the Head of Project Controls to deliver the Project Delivery business level remit.
  • Work closely with the Head of Project Controls to deliver key business analytical data to support business operations.
  • Facilitate best practice, value enhancing practice and learning across Sustainable Solutions and Strategies enhancing its capability.
  • Work with the Head of Project Controls to enhance and grow project planning and scheduling capability within the Sustainable Strategies and Solutions business.

The role will typically include leading and delivering the following activities;
  • Providing project controls support to key projects.
  • Implementation of project scheduling on projects using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Undertaking facilitation of interactive/collaborative planning sessions.
  • Be able to effectively interpret and analyse project schedules to extract critical path information and understand the risk carried within a project delivery schedule.
  • Be able to distil complex schedules and extract the relevant information such that it can be effectively communicated
  • Line management and mentoring of more junior project controls professionals.
  • Assist in the Development and implementation of standardized project controls processes and tools.
  • Shares and develops best practices with the project controls team.
  • Attend OPRs and Admin Reviews (as needed).
  • Implementation of project controls leading indicators such as S Curves and Earned Value.
  • Work with the Head of Project Controls to manage the monthly and quarterly process for project triggers, watch list and performance reviews.
  • Works with other PC leads and PMs to develop recovery plans for projects.
  • Supports pricing development on major pursuits.
  • Reviews weekly Project metrics for PU and leads closure of actions.
  • Supports business operations with relevant business analytic.

Essential:
  • Suitably qualified candidates will ideally come from a Project Management or Project Controls Professional background with a passion for the subject.
  • A track record of leading and inspiring others to develop this discipline at business level.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering results in this area.
  • Willing to engage across the whole of the UK business so flexibility to travel is essential.
  • Experienced in the use of project planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Experienced in the use of MS Excel.

Desirable:
  • Experience in Project Delivery/Management would also be an advantage.
