If you have proven technical and functional SAP MM skills this is a great chance to join a growing team with people widely respected for their expertise and well connected with the business.

What’s the role?
We need a Business Analyst to join our growing, international team. SAP and, increasingly, S4Hana are vital to the way we work so you can be certain your skills will be valued and developed here. If you want to be part of an environment where good process knowledge meets digitalization, working with the latest integration technologies, you’ll be in your element.

It’s an end-to-end role, stretching from clarifying analytical requirements (from a technical design perspective), estimating and developing functional specification through to developing solutions related to Production Execution and Quality Management processes in SAP. You’ll also see project through prototyping and unit testing. A key challenge will be to quickly grasp existing designs and to roll out new templates on demand, working with batch job scheduling and processing tools.

Shell employs some 6,400 skilled staff as well as many contractors.

Requirements

What we need from you
For this Business Analyst role, we’re keen to hear from men and women with a good level of experience in SAP MM (Materials Management) especially those who’ve worked on end-to-end implementations or roll out of projects. You need requirements gathering/documenting skills, evidence of successfully designing and testing interfaces and debugging skills (e.g. on batch jobs and BAPIs).

Ideally, you’ll have some of the following on your CV too:

  • Cross-module experience SAP MM – FI or SAP MM – SD
  • Exposure to a purchasing, materials management or production environment.
  • Experience of using your SAP skills on global projects

It’s your personal skills that will help you succeed at Shell. We value people who are:

  • Hands-on and delivery-focused – you’re definitely a do-er; someone who enjoys participating in design sessions, reviewing the options and providing recommendations.
  • Organized and methodical – you’ve proven you can prioritise, plan and implement, even when there’s a level of uncertainty or risk.
  • Collaborative communicators – you work well in (virtual) teams and can communicate the benefits and risks of solutions to a range of stakeholders – in English, both in person and in writing.
