JOB SUMMARY

Plan, schedule and release manufactured and purchased parts and assemblies in an efficient manner while supporting company objectives regarding inventory, sales volume, product cost, scheduling and customer demands.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Approve, release and monitor status of production and purchase requisitions.
  • Develop and provide input to Manufacturing build plan.
  • Develop priorities and communicate support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.
  • Coordinate with all shop departments to ensure proper inventory levels - maintain knowledge of plant operations and equipment design in order to plan properly.
  • Review and release work orders per the system demand, manage the system recommended messages, as well as maintain work order dates that adhere to the metrics for the organization.
  • Periodically review non-conformances and engineering changes to rework any work orders as required.
  • Regularly update work order due dates based on fluctuations in in-house capacity and the delivery schedules from vendors.
  • Keep Planning manager aware about applicable changes that would affect the lead time of the part so that the system can be kept up-to-date.
  • Regularly monitor and update safety stock levels in the system when necessary.
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Bammel Repair Department Job Summary:


Responsible for planning and control of all projects within the Repair Facility, from the release of work orders, ensuring that all projects will be delivered on-time, within budgets, with quality by following all NOV specifications, always focusing on the customer satisfaction.

Bammel Repair Department Primary Responsibilities:

- Monitor project progress and all the involved costs, ensuring accomplishment of all pre-defined goals and objectives.

- Schedule meetings in order to release new work orders to the repair shop.

- Submit purchase requisition for outside services.

- Manage all external suppliers to ensure the success of the agreed services within proposed deadlines and costs.

- Review the project billing of all completed work orders; submit paperwork for billing as appropriate.

- Ensure that projects are completed on time and within planned costs.

- Monitor status of production and purchase requisitions.

- Provide input to Manufacturing build plan.

- Review and approve Shop Routers.

- Monitor work orders per the system demand, as well as maintain work order dates.

- Keep Scheduler aware of applicable changes that would affect lead time.

- Enter and update BOM (Bill of Materials)/Pull parts as required/Print tickets.

- Update Tracker.

- Coordinate and schedule logistics for pickup/shipping.

- Coordinate ITP (Inspection Test Plans) and Quality Plan with all applicable parties

- Coordinate with Engineering as required.

- Meet with Materials Management Department to ensure expedited critical parts are procured.

- Pursue continuous improvement in operations.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience, or equivalent knowledge/education preferable in:
  • Manufacturing environment
  • Planning
  • Project Management
  • Higher education degree desirable

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Product Specific Knowledge for each Department preferable (BOPs, Top Drives, Motion Compensation, Rig Floor Equipment, etc.)
  • Flexible availability (overtime and weekends may be required) preferred
