Job Description: Brief Posting Description
We are currently sourcing a Quality Manager to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. The successful candidate will be required to undertake and will ensure delivery of a consistent and effective quality service to the requirements of the client and compliant with the relevant international/national codes and standards.

This position will report directly to the manager.

Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.
Detailed Description
• Management of the quality team, ensuring they are aware of their roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Promotion of the Wood Core values throughout the organization.
• Ensuring that competent resources are allocated throughout the portfolio in support of quality activities and provide a network wherein these resources can interact to improve consistency and delivery.
• Provision of the quality competence assurance process for all Wood Quality personnel.
• Acting as the nominated Management System representative in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 requirements.
• Management of the co-ordination of 3rd party certification provision.
• Providing guidance and processes for the delivery of the Wood management system (MS) arrangements, including the training, awareness, communication, application of continual improvement, compliance and assurance;
• Managing the Wood audit and review program and provide support to any ongoing assurance activities.
• Driving the use of the Wood IMPact database (or equivalent) throughout the business and managing any system enhancements.
• Promoting the timely and effective implementation of corrective action and preventive action in order to achieve continuous improvement and using IMPact data to target areas for improvement.
• Generation of monthly quality reports for quality focal point audiences.
• Management of the Wood global management system review.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Quality management or relevant discipline
  • 10 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the Oil/Gas /Petrochemical industry)
  • Previous Experience in a Lead or management position
  • Competent in knowledge of Quality systems, regulations, and legislation
  • Competent in implementation of standards and process to ensure quality across the portfolio.
  • Competent in forecast planning for resources.
  • Competent in people interviewing, selection, communication and management including performance management.
  • D emonstrate decision making skills within their area of responsibility.
  • Ability to plan and organize their work scope.
  • Accept responsibility for their work scope and activities
