Networks Connections Accountant
Voyage Global Energy's established client is currently looking for Network Connection Accountants.
You will manage and control over 15,000 electricity connections projects per annum. Your role will include monitoring and managing annual budgets and forecasts for two of our four Southern regions, with Networks managers, to set challenging targets and report income and profit performance on a monthly basis. You will build effective relationships with Commercial and Operational staff responsible for project delivery, and work with them to ensure good financial control of projects, cost allocations and meeting of financial targets.
In addition, you will review and manage the profitability of ongoing projects and completed projects with regional and commercial staff to deliver annual budget. You will provide financial guidance and training, where required, to Networks business staff in the use of project accounting, including project billing. You will be responsible for excellent financial control including control account reconciliations for Work in Progress and Deferred Income balances. You will also work closely with the Connections Finance Manager to ensure processes and procedures are operating effectively.
You Need: Your Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate, you will be a part, or fully qualified accountant (CIMA or CACA) or have extensive experience working within an accounts team.
You will possess a sound understanding/knowledge of Finance software (preferably Oracle EBS), including project billing, and have excellent Excel skills. You should be a commercially aware and astute individual with an ability to work well in a project team environment and lead where required. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build key relationships, are essential. You should have an ability to drive process improvements. There will be a requirement to visit regions on a regular basis to support business as required on connection activities, so an element of flexibility would be advantageous.
