The Training Specialist is responsible for the overall program and will create, implement and drive the program. The Supervisor Development Program (SDP) for Front Line Supervisors is expected to drive consistency within the organization. The position focuses on needs identification, curriculum design, program development, communication to various levels within organization and facilitation (at times) of the SDP program. Expectations for the role include driving improvement and change within the Americas Manufacturing training organization through application of Adult Learning Principles. Critical to the role is the ability to demonstrate self-sufficiency and possess an understanding of manufacturing. US offices are located in Houston, TX. 14 short miles from Downtown Houston.   • Design SDP classroom curriculum to align with manufacturing expectations of front line leaders
  • Responsible for the overall development, implementation, and delivery of the program and its components inside and outside of the classroom; the program should support preferred practices for front line supervisors (FLS)
  • Provide structured plan for step-ups and FLS to apply classroom learning to daily work and learn other aspects of job (i.e. IT, SAP, site workflows etc.)
  • Manage time and tasks to schedule and coordinate facilitators, participants, emails, LMS records
  • Provide adequate time for facilitators and participants to prepare for learning and streamline program
  • Prepare and organize SDP slides, handouts, and other necessary documents for training sessions
  • Ensure training and communication materials are consistent and clear; accurate communication is vital to program success
  • Communicate with various levels within organization to facilitate, schedule and provide information for the SDP Program
  • Coordinate with senior leaders in their support to help facilitate portions of program
  • Teamwork is essential to build relationships with various site training personnel, leaders, participants, facilitators and other GTLS training specialists. This includes alignment with EAI Program Manager.
  • Facilitate training sessions, speaking to large classrooms with high engagement, interactivity and enthusiasm.

  • A High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Front Line Supervisor experience preferred
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience required
  • 5 years of experience in learning and development required
  • Self-motivated and driven to success
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed or in a group
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to utilize instructional design and Adult Learning Principles
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate in classroom
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize classroom curriculums and implement
