3D Printer Application Expert (Southern US)MLC CAD Systems is seeking a 3D Printer Field Application Engineer. The Application Engineer works at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer service. The AE is a blend of an expert problem solver, technology consultant, teacher, and business developer.This position works in close collaboration with our sales team, identifying and validating technical solutions, educating customers, and enabling customer success of our already established client base of over 6,000 CAD, CAM, and 3D Printing customers throughout the Southern United States.LOCATION: Austin, Texas preferred. Dallas, or Houston Texas, or Atlanta, GA also available.Duties and Responsibilities:Gain expert technical knowledge and proficiency for Markforged products, applications, and the additive manufacturing industry in generalLeverage this expertise and experience to generate innovative ideas for better utilization of Markforged printers with our customersConduct product demonstrations and sales presentationsPresales technical training for customers.Technical enablement of our 3D Printing Sales TeamProvide sales support, solve printing/design challenges, and tailor to unique applicationsProvide industry content for sales and marketing collateral The following are the specific skills and qualifications required for any 3D Printer Application Expert to be successful:Customer-focused attitude is critical.Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, or manufacturing related field.Three plus years of experience in manufacturing and/or design engineering.Demonstrated Project Management experience.Demonstrated capability for teaching and/or public speaking; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Ability to resolve technical issues while maintaining a good working relationship with the sales force, customers, and internal employees.the sales force, customers, and internal employees.CAD Experience, SOLIDWORKS preferred.Willingness to travel up to 30%.Compensation/Benefits: For all US-based roles, we offer a competitive compensation package and a full suite of benefits, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), parental leave, and morePowered by JazzHR
