Our Client is a fast growing Swiss investment manager headquartered in Zug, with offices in Zurich, Frankfurt and Luxembourg. They manage funds on behalf of institutional investors and invest in renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy storage projects. And are looking to add a Vice President to their existing energy storage team focusing exclusively on this new and high profile area.

Location: The role and the team are based out of our Zurich office.

Salary: CHF 100'000 – 120'000 + max 40% bonus

Package: Free gym access, a pension fund for which the company pays 50% of the premiums, as well as for the other social insurances, and an additional relocation package if required.

Vice President, Energy Storage Infrastructure

In this rapidly growing market, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced finance specialist with expert knowledge of the renewable market and, preferably, a good knowledge of the energy storage market. The Vice President will take ownership of aspects of the fund’s development and will be expected to contribute from day one towards the origination, due diligence and execution of energy storage projects.

The position entails the following key responsibilities:

• Identification and assessment of energy storage market segments

• Establishing and maintaining partnerships to secure a project pipeline

• Identification, due diligence and negotiation of projects that fit the specified investment criteria

• Preparation of investment committee materials, internal memoranda and other documents

• Development (and recruitment) of the team, mentoring and management of junior team members

• Marketing and promoting the organisation at meetings, events and conferences

Candidates fulfilling the following criteria will be considered:

• Five to ten years’ experience in project finance or infrastructure equity transactions

• Experienced in due diligence, incorporating technical, legal, commercial and other aspects

• Excellent modelling, financial and quantitative skills

• Accomplished negotiator, commercially astute with strong interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to think strategically, analyse critically, and translate ideas and insights into action

• Entrepreneurial spirit, highly motivated, goal oriented and hard working

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in finance / technology

• Fluency in English; other foreign languages are a plus
