ENGIE are recruiting for a Water Plumbing Technician to be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, PO6 3LY. This is a permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours a week. On offer is a salary of £24,000 to £27,000 per annum dependant on experience plus company benefits package.
The Water Plumbing Technician will carry out planned preventative maintenance and minor reactive repairs, temperature monitoring, flushing, sampling and disinfection of water systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24hr maintenance Service within the Portsmouth Hospital Trust for the service provider.
  • To undertake all maintenance and repair of the hospitals domestic water systems including TMV and Drinking Water Dispenser planned maintenance in accordance with HTM - 04, HSG 274 and the L8 Approved code of practice.
  • To work in highly unpleasant working conditions, including bodily fluids and noxious fumes, assist in unblocking drains and sewers.

Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
  • A recognised Plumbing apprenticeship or approved equivalent and City & Guilds
  • Craft Certificate relevant to the trade or similar recognised trade certificate
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ or relevant experience.
