(2) Process & Facilities Engineers -Plant Engineering
Job DescriptionJob Description
One of the Top global chemical companies – Full benefits Bonus programs, Excellent Renter or Homeowner Relocation Package
Some additional Experience:
Would prefer mechanical/chemical engineering degrees over an industrial engineering degree
You need experience with plant day-to-day operations.
You need to have experience with PSM compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure our production units are safer than a marshmallow fortress and comply with regulations (yes, we read those too).
- Embrace your inner "Area Owner" and make sure our mechanical and process systems are happier than a kid in a candy store.
- Team up with Engineering, Maintenance, and other folks to create solutions that would make Einstein proud.
- Navigate the exciting world of the Management of Change (MOC) process – like legal Tetris, but with engineering.
- Rock those hard hats and lead small-sized projects (<$2MM) that are so fun, they're practically playdates.
- Commission new systems like a seasoned detective cracking a case.
- Show off your swanky planning skills during system turnarounds – it's like hosting a party for machines.
- Sprinkle some magic dust on our safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-efficiency efforts.
- Solve mysteries with the flair of a detective, minus the magnifying glass.
- Play matchmaker between the materials of construction and the perfect process equipment – it's like engineering Tinder!
Requirements:
- You're not just an engineer, you're a chemical/mechanical superhero with a bachelor's degree to prove it.
- You've got at least 3 years of experience in the plant engineering world, or you've been on industrial adventures before.
- Mechanical engineering codes and standards are your sidekicks (ASME, API, NFPA, ANSI – you know them all).
- You've got a PhD in understanding mechanical equipment and systems – pumps, valves, HVAC, and more.
- Corrosion protection and material selection? You're basically their marriage counselor.
- You make decisions that would make a Magic 8-Ball jealous.
- Your words are as smooth as butter, whether you're writing emails or explaining complex engineering concepts.
- Team player? Oh yeah, you're the MVP of the "Interdisciplinary All-Stars" team.
- Change is your middle name – you adapt like a chameleon at a crayon factory.
- You're like a professional juggler, handling tasks like a pro and multitasking like a boss.
- Leadership skills? Check. Team player attitude? Double check.
· Be prepared to don that hard hat for commissioning and startup activities – it's your engineering crown.
· Respirator readiness is a must – who knows when you'll need to battle airborne foes?
· Location: Charleston, TN – not a deserted island, but still an exciting place to engineer.
We’ll not just a company; it's a family of quirky chemists and engineering enthusiasts. We're all about being authentic, celebrating our differences, and engineering our way to awesomeness. Besides being part of a dynamic team, you'll enjoy medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, tuition reimbursement (because learning is your superpower), advancement opportunities, and paid time off (because even superheroes need to recharge).
So, dust off your engineering cape (metaphorical or real), and join us in our mission to conquer the chemistry world, one hilarious problem-solving adventure at a time.
