Position Summary:

  • Implements health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines for the employees and department safety
  • Provides/develops technical HSE training aimed at regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Create incident reports
  • Perform inspection to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE
  • Interacts with services personnel and clients to research and interpret standards, codes and regulations
  • Determines requisite for and organizes audits of company operated properties.
  • Keeps informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards
  • Assists in development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analyses of HSE statistics
  • Inputs safety data and metrics into the site's database system
  • Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Core Competencies

  • Exceptional computer skills that includes MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Organizational, planning, and execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

Training and Experience

  • Entry Level (Experience, training or education preferred)
  • Industrial construction/maintenance industry experience preferred
  • Must be familiar with OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations

Other Essential Functions

  • Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting and lifting.
  • Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling.
  • Must be alert to site construction equipment when in the field with an occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery.
  • Must be able to walk on uneven ground and to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Potential exposure to dust, fumes, noise and extremes in temperature or humidity.
  • Potential work at heights.
