Serve as a Scrum Master for the NAWCWD Information Assurance Division and support the Certification and Accreditation Rapid Package Development and Integrated Assessment Model (CARPDIAM) process.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan and facilitate all standard meetings and activities including: sprint planning, release planning, daily Scrum, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Regularly analyze key metrics impacting the velocity / performance of the team and produce and share status reports that highlight any issues / blockers
  • Engage with stakeholder entities to help remove obstacles to the CARPDIAM teams being able to deliver on stated goals
  • Engage and assists with the team to ensure that processes are properly articulated, prioritized and detailed
  • Work to identify blocked or stalled tasks and influences the team to resolve the issues
  • Provide training to new team members regarding the Scrum framework as well as the use of the CARPDIAM process; identify additional training needs of team and individual members
  • Ensure that Scrum framework is utilized in a manner consistent with the division framework
  • Dedicate to continuous process improvement through feedback loops, coaching, retrospectives, and individual improvement
Position requires BS degree in Information Technology, Business Administration/Information Systems, or a similar discipline and a minimum of six (6) years' experience with large and complex problems associated to major weapon systems or DoD programs, performing as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager/Team Lead, translating system requirements and business processes into technical documentation, including use cases, and process diagrams and functional design documents is required. Minimum two (2) years' experience of the last six (6) years must have been as a team leader.

An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience; OR an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.

Experience with providing IA or IT support to a Navy or USMC client is highly desirable. Additional experience in modeling business processes process analysis methodologies, analyzing complex processes, articulating findings in briefing materials, and contributing to the development of solutions based on analytical findings is desirable.

Successful candidate will have experience in team leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, and conflict resolution. Proficiency with using Microsoft Office products including e-mail, Word, Excel, Access and Project is required.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

  • Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM from Scrum Alliance) and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM from would be extremely beneficial, but not required.

  • Prior experience with DoD DIACAP C&A and RMF A&A process would be considered a major plus
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
