Commercial Manager Can you optimize the commercial aspects of our offshore wind development projects?
Join us and become Commercial Manager in our Market Development department, which is responsible for the commercial development of DONG Energy's early-stage offshore wind projects and pipeline opportunities across markets. 
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial deliverables of one or more of our development projects across the DONG Energy footprint. The commercial deliverables cover business case processes, commercial and market due diligence, delivery of commercial implementation agreements, internal approval processes and reporting. 
Headquartered in Northern Europe, DONG Energy is a world leader in developing, constructing and operating offshore wind, having developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in the world. You will be part of the Wind Power business unit which is a growing organization with over 1800 employees dedicated to developing, constructing and operating offshore wind farms worldwide. Our newly established Boston office is the next step in our company's growth, and you will have the opportunity to be part of our growing US team.
You will be based at our office in Boston, MA. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work both domestically and occasionally overseas to our offices in Europe.
Your key tasks will be to 
  • negotiate the full suite of development implementation agreements, including grid connection agreements, harbor agreements, offshore property and other commercial agreements, such as consent-related agreements 
  • drive identification and quantification of business case levers together with key stakeholders 
  • maintain strong relationships and regular contact with all business case stakeholders 
  • prepare materials required for internal approvals for our development projects 
  • ensure an up-to-date register of project pre-financial investment decision commitments, eg covering procurement, land rights, grid connection agreement.
Your qualifications and core competences include that you  
  • have a master's degree in business administration, finance or law with a commercial mind-set and a strong interest in financials 
  • exhibit excellent analytical and negotiation skills as well as project management skills 
  • communicate effortlessly and smoothly with both internal and external parties 
  • are independent, demonstrate initiative and are able to drive negotiations 
  • can build relationships with other key departments in the company and demonstrate an exceptional analytical mind-set and understanding of project management.
