Join Bid Management  
You will be part of our highly skilled Bid Management team located in Aarhus. You will report to the Head of Bid Management and primarily be involved in the tender phase for large offshore wind farm projects where you will be responsible for the preparation of our proposals in close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and the customer. 
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to handle bids for large offshore wind farm projects. You will in the role as Bid Manager:
  • Take ownership of the bid management process.  
  • Manage customer bids, create customer offers and responses to RFx's. 
  • In close alignment with the Senior Sales Manager, project manage the bid, lead the bid team using company agreed processes and methodologies to ensure deadlines are met, approvals obtained, and the bid team is motivated and focused. 
  • Initiate corrective actions where necessary by forward planning and forecasting, to ensure optimum utilization of company resources and promote high quality, customer satisfaction and on time bid submission. 
  • Ensure that the most appropriate and relevant solutions for each bid are effectively structured from cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Review and revise documents prepared by internal stakeholders and coordinate the preparation of those materials.  
  • Compile, edit, and proof read commercial proposals which contain commercial and technical content and ensure that these are presented in a professional and concise manner.  
  • Facilitate the qualification of bids at the appropriate process stages using standard tools and techniques. Record and align the qualification outcomes and escalate when required to drive effective bid qualification. 
  • Produce and maintain all bid records in accordance with company processes to ensure the bid is auditable. 
  • Flag any issues or risks to the appropriate stakeholders within the business.  
  • Store all documentation in appropriate systems maintaining all necessary security compliance. 
  • Be responsible for the handover of the contract to the Account Teams for the negotiation of contracts. 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of products and services, competitive landscape and trends within the offshore wind industry.  
  • Constantly strive to improve both process and offerings to ensure a maximum competitiveness in the bidding phase. 
What we are looking for  
To succeed in this role you must have some professional experience with tender processes for large-scale power plants or other complex industrial projects. 
Furthermore the ideal candidate fulfils as many of the below requirements as possible: 
  • Master degree in economics or engineering 
  • Proposal writing experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English  
  • Offshore wind industry knowledge 
  • Good interpersonal and team skills 
  • Analytical thinker and a problem solver 
  • Attention to detail and structured approach 
  • Strong project management skills - the ability to apply project management disciplines to achieve successful delivery within agreed parameters of timescale and quality 
  • Very high quality standards - constantly seeking to challenge yourself 
  • Ability to stay focused and maintain overview even during hectic periods
