The Senior Account Manager - Air Products will be responsible for owning the strategic relationships with one of GE Water's largest customers in a designated area and influence a virtual team of selling professionals to best support these customers and deliver value.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Senior Account Manager - Air Products, you will:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve the operating plan metrics utilizing all sales channels such as Field Sales, Distribution and variable Channels to market
  • Serve as the primary liaison between GE Water's Commercial Team, corporate staff, and Air Products
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with Air Products and their decision-makers
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key Air Products decision-makers
  • Identify, track, negotiate and close specific opportunities for GE Water
  • Assist Commercial Team with the identification, communication, and negotiation of margin improvement projects
  • Execute and manage corporate pricing, contract billings, and accounts receivable (past dues)
  • Lead the development of sales opportunities and coordinate with the Profit & Loss (P&L) sales support groups
  • Submit winning proposals, lead negotiations, maintain effective business relationships and develop / maintain necessary processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness of the sales force
  • Lead Digitization culture change by driving the use of InSight platform throughout Air Products
  • Visit key Air Products locations to actively participate in local business reviews and/or plant audits
  • Confirm the VGP process is followed, value delivered/documented to Air Products, and corporate contract productivity targets attained, helping ensure that future price escalations are approved by Air Products
  • Compile, assess and appropriately communicate relevant economic, market, competitive and project data


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or Marketing from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in solutions selling

  • Experience selling complex contracts and/or technical solutions of substantial value
  • In depth knowledge of the Water industry
  • Prior experience in industrial gases industry
  • Strong negotiation and sales leadership skills
  • Executive presence including calm perseverance in challenging or frustrating circumstances
  • Ability and willingness to work in and lead virtual cross-functional teams
  • Adherence to high ethical values
  • Ability to integrate theoretical concepts into practical applications
  • Ability to quickly sort relevant information from irrelevant information to make good, informed decisions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
