Role synopsis
This role will provide Treasury back-office support for banking transactions for South Africa
It will also draw management information that relates to foreign "cross border receipts" ( incoming )) to assist the Treasury Lead & Compliance Analyst with compliance reporting for SARB and SARS Customs purposes
The role is also required to assist with Treasury analytics as determined from time to time.

Key accountabilities
  • Preparation and processing of accurate and complete journal entries
  • Preparation of foreign customer receipts ( log) register for all cross border inward funds received via SWIFT advices from Standard Bank
  • Obtain & reconcile compliance documentation from O2C team as supporting documentation for inward funds
  • Reconcile foreign trade transaction confirmation received from Standard bank with inward funds received
  • Collate & preparation of foreign receipt instruction documentation to Standard Bank
  • Execute and process Direct order collection for Lubes customers in Keris system
  • Execute timeous accurate recording (actualisation) of foreign exchange payments in Keris system
  • Prepare monthend reconciliations ( eg. short term borrowings; accrued interest payable)
  • Liaise with Standard bank to ensure daily receipts are credited to BPSA' bank account are executed timeously
  • Respond to queries from Standard Bank compliance division related to SARS documentation iro inward funds
  • Assist with Ad-hoc requests from the Cash and Banking Manager Process Manager and Treasury Lead
  • Daily monitoring of CFC bank balances and transactions as well as taking corrective measures.
  • Respond to escalations and investigations for fraud data requests.
  • Provide input & understanding of Treasury procedures related to declaration of inward cross border funds
  • Daily update and maintenance of foreign exchange rates in ISP & Keris system masterdata
  • Prepare monthend interest payable & interest receivable calculations
  • Execute & process interest payments due for short term & long term borrowings for money market transactions
  • Revaluation of the CFC USD bank account

Essential Education
• Diploma/ Certificate with basic accounting and reconciliation experience.
• Relevant Treasury qualification

Essential experience and job requirements
• At least 4 relevant working experience in a Treasury environment
• Understanding and experience of banking and Treasury processes :
• Administration and accounting for foreign exchange transactions
• Bank & G.L reconciliations
