Role synopsis
Focus on the support and development of new businesses in the Automobile, Machinery Manufacturing (MM) and Heavy Industry Segment space which are global core segments for Industrial as well as Auto key account development.
Provide engineering expertise and support to sales in the areas of manufacturing process and product application.

Key accountabilities
• Understand the strategies and workings of the competition on products, segments, services. Study & analyse the current & future trends of these Industries esp. around cutting and grinding applications and be the go to person for sales.
• Help customers in their cost reduction and quality enhancement initiatives by delivering value thru our cutting edge technology products
• Provide proven, cost effective and timely solutions to customer's process and product application problems and optimize product performance to sustain long term relationship with the customer.
• Collect, analyze and interpret engineering data and translate to easily communicable formats for external & internal use.
• Actively support direct sales team in the acquisition of new business by delivering impactful technical presentations at prospect accounts.
• Develop training material and presentation for sales team as well as conduct and/or assist in seminars and training for key customers
• Understand and keep tab on the new manufacturing technologies like new production methods and processes and to work with marketing to bring in products / services for the same
• Supporting the customer facing team in managing the overall new business development with core products, applications and premium services to the Industrial Auto/MM/Heavy Industry as well as Automotive customers
• Support the Marketing / OE / Business Development Strategies aligning to the Auto /MM/Heavy Industry Segment.
• Assist product development and product management with the testing of products (new and existing) in-house and at customer sites.
• Document and share best practices in case studies highlighting the benefits to customers derived from Industrial & Auto products.

Essential Education
• University Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering.

Essential experience and job requirements
• Comprehensive and complete understanding of the B2B business especially Industrial consumables like cutting tools, grinding wheels and metal working products, HPL .
• Mastery and good knowledge on the automotive segment, OEs, auto component industries and sub-assemblies involved in the auto business, and heavy industry like mining, cement and steel, etc..
• Mastery in key applications in Auto, MM and Heavy Industry segments.
• Customer relationship building - Mastery to build and maintain open, relaxed but effective relationships / networks of contacts to promote business performance
• Leadership skills - To lead, coach others to develop and ability to effectively network and build relationships on a continuous basis. Actively promotes positive team environment

• At least 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in our core markets and experience with product sold by Industrial
• Mastery or expertise in the product family of primary responsibility. Skillful in at least two other product families of secondary responsibility
• Strong Product / application / training knowledge
• Strong value proposition / offer experience
• Project experience especially in customer development projects
• Managing multiple / diverge projects, offers, businesses concurrently
• Leadership experience
