ENERCON is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work on a 6-12mo contract located in Southeast USA.

This role will be responsible for evaluation of construction aspects to ensure compliance to approved design and analysis of safety and non-safety related systems for new reactor plant construction. The Electrical Engineer oversees and coordinates work flows and schedules with designated subcontractors, applies his or her knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards, and good engineering judgment to ensure the work is compliant with approved designs and NRC regulatory criteria. Additional responsibilities include:

• Coordinate ITAAC activities with client team to assure timely review, approval and NRC submittal

• Review ITAAC Principal Closure Documents for compliance

• Work with Project Manager and Client to ensure a quality on-time deliverable, within budget

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:

• B.S. in EE, or equivalent, from an accredited university; M.S. degree a plus

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Electrical Power System, design and installation

• Previous experience working in plant construction is a plus

• Demonstrated expertise with ITAAC planning a plus

• Knowledge of commercial nuclear plant licensing and regulatory requirements (including 10 CFR 50 and 52)

• In-depth knowledge of NRC and Industry codes, standards, and criteria for Electrical Power Systems

• Nuclear industry experience (e.g. utility, NSSS Vendor, Engineering Consultant, EPC, etc.) is a MUST

• Familiarity with the electrical separation criteria per IEEE 384

• Familiarity with construction environment and 10CFR52. Knowledge of work management processes

• A PE license is a plus

• Ability to be an individual contributor on complex tasks and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team in a leadership role

• Must be a lawful, permanent resident of the United States

• Must be able to gain access to a commercial nuclear facility
