Defining, deploying and managing EHS standards, programs and tools related to Supply Chain Organisation. Developing and maintaining local EHS procedures when necessary for the region operations, in liaison with EHS priorities. Ensuring standardization of EHS process and tools across all locations

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensuring that EHS is properly deployed within local HOPE processes
• Preparing, reviewing & following the yearly EHS plan, and at location level, ensuring consistency with EHS Region/Business Targets & Objectives
• Establishing and managing the EHS dashboard of zone operations activities to monitor EHS performances & status and keep informed Global management
• Ensuring that audits, visit and inspection are conducted on a regular basis according to EHS standards and regulation
• Managing EHS Manufacturing/COE and support operational Manager in order to meet EHS expectation in all location
Provide day-to-day EHS leadership for the GE Vadodara facility, including responsibility to lead a team of EHS specialists/ coordinators
• Follow duties of safety officer specified in notification- Gujarat Safety Officers ,Duty qualification & Service conduct rules ,1983 and notifications -under Gujarat Factories Rules,1963
• Interpret EHS regulatory requirements, understand applicability, and drive gap closure plans
• Interface with regulatory agencies as needed or required through legal team
• Lead interaction between elements/element owners .Serves as a resource for other element owners. Develop cross functional teams to drive EHS engagement for EHS framework deployment
• Set program expectations that are proactive to meet/exceed GE and regulatory requirements
• Train others in Incident Factor Analysis tools and other EHS trainings based on training needs identification
• Create innovative and effective approaches to drive safety culture with the workforce
• Evaluate site safety conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans
• Lead the execution of GE EHS priorities, FW2.0, metrics, goals and other program requirements
• Support safety reviews for new/ modified equipment installations through MOC review process
• Support for developing Heat map and strength of defences matrix
• Utilize GE resources, tools & best practices to drive local site EHS program improvements
• Support site in developing safety Risk Assessments (Job Safety Analysis), method statements, Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) etc.
• Using GE Gensuite and other digital tools, conduct data mining to identify EHS program trends and develop corrective and preventative actions;


• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with 10 + years of experience or Diploma Engineering with 12+ years of experience
• Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized government institutes
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) - Fixed Facilities
