Under minimal direction, plans, organizes, supervises and coordinates all activities of Data Center Services which operates on a twenty-four hour, seven-day-a-week schedule. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities of the Data Center Services Team. Recommends and implements policies, standards, and documentation procedures related Data Center Management.
Position Summary
Supervises the daily real-time operation of a service delivery team. Responsible to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of information technology (IT) services. Person possesses expert subject-matter knowledge of IT operation and expert experience managing service delivery for complex operating scenarios. Supports attainment of corporate and business unit goals and objectives.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supervises team personnel in their daily functions. Effectively and efficiently assigns resources with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, reliability, cost, and compliance with regulations. Conducts performance reviews, provides input to pay decisions and implements positive discipline measures as necessary. Supports and actively participates in the development of employees, through training, mentoring and development.
  • Contributes to safety, cost, customer service, and reliability targets that are consistent with the business plan and service-level agreements. Supervises the implementation of business plan strategy and tactics. Contributes to budget planning and performance.
  • Supports the implementation of new technologies as part of Business Systems projects and initiatives so that productivity, customer service, and reliability targets are achieved.
  • Provides expert technical & operational support to others. Provides coordination necessary for the team to respond to organizational and regulatory initiatives and directives.
  • Provides internal and external communications regarding team and operational performance. Responsible for the status of the IT technology services.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge preferred.
  • Five (5) year's experience in information technology delivery, with expert subject-matter knowledge on complex operating scenarios.
  • Knowledge of PC and business related computer applications and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle several activities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with diverse work groups.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 - 10 technical resources.
  • Experience managing day to day datacenter operations.
  • Understanding of hardware and network physical setup and installation.
  • Proficient in power and cable management.
