Position Summary

The Water and Wastewater Lead Engineer/Project Manager will perform aspects of engineering and design functions and support water and wastewater related projects, including all phases of planning, design, and bidding and construction administration services. Independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. Develop designs that require innovation and ingenuity. Work performed with minimal supervision; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

The following are the attributes for the project lead engineer:

• May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
• Assist Project Manager with schedules, quality and safety of the design team
• Ability to lead projects and interface directly with customer/client
• Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned project

As a project manager, the candidate must be experience in project management duties as outlined below:

• Develop a project scope, budget and schedule and other aspects of a project management plan including quality and safety plans.
• Ability to identify and quantify project risk
• Leadership skills to lead and manage a project team
• Track project performance and conformance to contracts
• Communicate with the client and project team

• 7ᆞ12 years of municipal water and wastewater engineering experience required.
• 3 - 5 years of project management required
• BS or MS in civil/environmental engineering field required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
• PE registration required
• Capable of using MS Office Products and Project Manager
• Capable of using Auto CAD Civil 3D and/or water/sewer modeling software a plus
• Enthusiastic, dependable, self-starter, who is organized and able to work effectively with minimal supervision preferred
• Experience working hands on with clients
• Familiarity with government and public sector projects preferred
