Role synopsis
Responsible for Settlements transactions, ensuring they are processed accurately, effectively, efficiently and in a controlled, timely and compliant manner.

Key accountabilities
  • Raising & Issuing 3rd Party AR Oil Invoices in line with highly variable contractual due datesReconciling and paying incoming AP invoices
  • Confirming incoming cash & consolidating to daily cash forecast within tolerance
  • Resolving volume, tax and other disputes in a timely manner
  • Managing re-invoicing workload due to operational data or pricing updates
  • Ensuring all invoices are tax compliant
  • Managing overdue debt
  • Operates the day-to-day Settlements process
  • Accountable for overseeing delivery of silent running, accurate and timely recording of all transactions
  • Accountable for the accurate and timely completion of Settlements activities within the area of responsibility
  • Highlight any gaps or issues and in conjunction with the Settlements lead, develop, document and implement mitigations as appropriate
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes to improve performance and efficiency
  • Support change activities to ensure successful implementation in area of responsibility
  • Understand the business performance expectations of the team and support the Oil Settlements Team Lead/Manager in the measurement and reporting of KPIs for area of responsibility. Provide commentary and actions as appropriate. Address root cause of issues
  • Actively participate in and support projects as appropriate

Essential Education
  • Relevant degree in Finance/Accounting or similar

Essential experience and job requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Fluent English knowledge

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detailKnowledge of financial and physical trading instruments
  • Knowledge of business drivers and how Settlements support delivery of the business strategy

  • Strong team working capabilities o ability to support and appropriately challenge team members
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure
