Support CH2M's clients as an Architectural Design Specialist and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As an Architectural Design Specialist you'll prepare engineering design proposals, contract specifications and feasibility studies to evaluate alternative systems and engineering methods. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all drawings meet quality, accuracy and dimension standards. Also, the incumbent performs design engineering tasks using standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. He/she makes decisions within scope of broad work assignments. This position impacts area of assignment by ensuring quality of tasks/output provided.
Our Architectural Design Specialists:
  • Survey existing facility and sites and prepare conceptual layouts to validate client requirements for meeting space and functions.
  • Prepare survey studies to relocate/expand offices & spaces within facilities including conceptual layouts.
  • Prepare project specifications or edit client speciation's to meet project specifics.
  • Prepare architectural designs using CAD to prepare plans, details, sections and schedules.
  • Conduct field visits to observe installation of architectural building systems and prepare observation field reports.
  • Participate (Conduct/chair field meetings - optional) in construction progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • BS or BA degree in architecture, engineering discipline with equivalent architecture experience.
  • 5 or more years of architectural experience.
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license as this assignment may require travel within the New York metro area.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Ability to prepare take off materials for estimation purposes.
  • Ability to investigate listed manufacturers/products/models to confirm availability and eliminate discontinued products.
  • Ability to handle or manage 5-10 projects at same time.
  • Previous US Federal projects experience
