Basic Function:
Coordinate Sales & Marketing Efforts for Weatherford Products and Services to; develop new business for Weatherford by identifying and exploiting market opportunities, retain existing business, ensure that products and services are delivered and executed within the required time frame and quality standards, provide technical support and operations training for the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Promotes DD Product and Service line equipment and offers technical support to operations personnel.
  • Interfaces between customer, PLM and engineering on new product requirements as needed.
  • Conducts sales presentations, product related training programs and customer seminars.
  • Acts as a market input source to product line management for new and existing product opportunities.
  • Acts as a liaison between engineering, product line management and the overall sales organization.
  • Provides technical support for the regional sales organization to enable them to present currently technology in a direct selling effort.
  • Acts as a liaison between engineering and field personnel (Country Manager/ Operations Manager & QHSE Manager) as related to existing products and technology.
  • Works within an established geographical area to generate new business and increase revenues while fostering good relations for continued business with established customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the customer's requirements are identified, thereby monitoring that this information is recorded in the Statement of Requirement document (SOR). 
  • Assists in tenders' processes through periodic visits to clients to fully ascertain their requirements and develop the basis for Weatherford's response to the invitation to tender.
  • Trains Local Staff.
  • Monitors and reports drilling and work over rig activity.
  • Maintains contact with operations department (Including workshop & Support Services) to ensure that client's equipment & operational requirements are understood by all and confirm that the products and services can be provided.
  • Required to work on a 24 hours call basis.
  • Works assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Performs various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constrains of the job
Required Skills:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent "on-the-job" technical experience.
  • Good presentation skills and professional appearance.
  • Computer literacy and ability to prepare tender documents and quotations.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Fundamental understanding of marketing concepts and market assessment.
  • Ability to develop strategy and implement accordingly.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Extensive sales experience.
  • General product knowledge.
  • Self-motivator, self-starter.
  • Individual must be able to follow instructions.
  • Should be able to work closely with fellow employees.
