The Country Technical Sales Manager is responsible for direct sales to clients and provides technical support to customers in the form of sales presentations; product related training programs, and customer seminars. The Technical Sales Manager is also responsible for providing the leadership to achieve Weatherford's short-range and long-range business development objectives in a particular Product Line.
Client & Communication
  • Provide technical support for Country Sales and present current technology in a direct selling effort
  • Regularly communicate sales targets and objectives, technical information, support, vision and quality objectives to Country sales and operations employees. Assists with the development of quotations and Product Line related packages
  • Confer with key customers regarding equipment/product/service needs and advise key customers on types of equipment to purchase
  • Establish client intimacy with client decision makers for the product line across portfolio of clients Resolve customer complaints regarding service, product, or personnel
  • Hold regular sales meetings with direct reports and provide immediate feedback on sales performance
Vision & Leadership
  • Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals thought innovation, quality and excellence
  • Establish and maintain an effective skilled support structure to meet the needs of the business in the short and longer term, maximizing reliability and quality and minimizing cost exposure
  • Develop short and long range plans with the Global and Region leadership to promote the product line sales strategy for the business unit
  • Assist is annual Revenue Budget on Product Line related business
  • Develop marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and action assignments for the product line
  • Analyze and define the market, current and desired market sharefor product line growth within the assigned Business Unit
  • Provide the data to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales and investment requirements by both Weatherford and the customer
Safety & Compliance
  • Strategically leverage different parts of the organization and manage across product lines to achieve growth in conjunction with product roll out and offerings
  • Ensure that that Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and Reliability are the responsibility of all employees
  • Demonstrate effective Safety leadership at all times to enhance the organization's commitment to safety Performance
  • Lead and coordinate teams, schedule project timelines, arrange for resources to manage short and long term product linesales targets, and effective resolution of customer concerns and problems
  • Develop pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers.

  • Lead and promote teamwork through open communication to ensure correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements are implemented and followed
  • Promote continued development and growth of technical competencies within the workforce. Assist in the recruitment process of technical field and sales personnel in order to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing, talented work force
  • Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to balance and prioritize competing interests
