The generator fleet support engineering team provides technical support to internal and external customers, with main focus on the European regional fleet, and emergency topics worldwide.

Essential Responsibilities

The main tasks include:
Response to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution.
Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between the field and design engineering to drive specific technical issue resolution and to help engineering identify and drive corrective actions.
Maintain relationships with GE Customers to ensure that customer technical issues and requirements are understood and being addressed in a timely manner.
Resolve issues using product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles and business standards, procedures and product/program requirements.
Lead and program manage root cause analysis (RCA) activities for technical issues.
Interface with Application Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Design Engineering teams, providing technical leadership to resolve customer issues.
Prepare technical presentations for GE Leaders and external customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
Occasional travel to customer locations to support customer technical review meetings, present final RCA recommendation to build commitment to GE's technical solution, present or review technical components or programs to uphold the image of GE, and support unplanned/forced outages to ensure that availability goals are met
Provide Outage Excellence (technical support) to the Contractual Services and Field Services teams during planned outages
Ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.


Professional education in the field of mechanical or electrical technology (electro- machinery preferable)
At least 5 years of experience ideally in an Engineering position or as Field Engineer
Know- how and experience in turbo- generator engineering or service mandatory
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
PC proficiency
Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
Fluent in Turkish and English and proficiency in one or more European languages
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others

Desired Characteristics

Electrical/Electro or Mechanical Engineering Degree (electro- machinery preferable)
6 Sigma Green Belt certification
