We are offering a position as a Technical Support Specialist for the automation and control systems services at ABB Oy, Marine and Ports unit in Helsinki. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support and root cause analysis for ship automation and control systems used in the Passenger and Cargo segment globally. In particular you will focus on 800M and 800xA based applications like propulsion control system, remote control system and ship automation. You will use modern remote diagnostics tools and work in a growing team of technical specialists.

We require a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in automation or control electronics. You have several years' experience in field service, commissioning or engineering and preferably also with relevant ABB systems and ship environment. Experience in PLC programming (IEC-61131-1) and profound understanding of networks, industrial communication buses and protocols such as Ethernet, NMEA1383, Modbus TCP/IP and RTU, Profibus, OPC and MS Windows OS are also needed. The work is mainly done in the office, but the position requires roughly 30 days of travel per year. Good written English communication skills, customer orientation and the ability to use your own initiative will help you succeed in this job.
