We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Analyst in our Quality department located in Shoreview, MN.  

In this position, a Process Analyst can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Perform variety of quality assurance functions in support of business unit and department quality assurance plans/programs
  • Help develop, recommend, and implement business unit and departmental QA plans/programs according to current U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Westinghouse and customer QA standards for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities
  • Help develop and implement policies on scope and retention requirements of quality assurance documentation
  • Communicate changes in business unit and departmental QA plans/programs and conduct ongoing education, orientation, training and certification programs for appropriate personnel
  • Help develop comprehensive surveillance plans. Assist with conducting surveillance of Westinghouse division and departmental QA plans/programs to ensure compliance with applicable QA codes/standards. Verify accuracy of procedures, tests and records and review inspection and NDT procedures to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and design engineering specifications.  Help write follow up reports and recommend actions to resolve QA issues.
  • Participate on site quality teams and manufacturing by assisting with development and implementation of site QA procedures and ensuring that procedures are followed during manufacturing, installation and testing of Westinghouse supplied systems, equipment, components or maintenance/repair programs
  • Perform trending of quality data streams such as nonconformance reports, corrective action reports, and inspection results.  Make meaningful recommendations based on data and follow through with suggestions for implementation and effectiveness
  • Provide technical descriptive and cost input to bid proposals for QA scope of contracts
  • Assemble and review content of final product data packages including test reports, inspection results, material certifications, NDT reports and other contract required documents.  Communicate issues identified in a manner to support trend identification and resolution.  Prepare and author the certificate of conformance to support customer delivery
  • Review executed commercial dedication packages for compliance to internal procedures, industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Interpret engineering and manufacturing records to develop and review customer data packages.  Ensure that data packages meet internal and customer requirements.  Develop and approve certificates of conformance for projects when complete.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • The ability to represent Westinghouse and provide input during external QA audits conducted by customers, government agencies, ASME, etc. Help write audit response and follow up with impacted organizations to ensure that all corrective actions have been taken. Integrate audit results into existing QA plans/programs by developing and implementing new procedures
  • Be comfortable reviewing bid specifications, licensing write ups, proposals, purchase order requisitions, completed test procedures, and other documentation to verify compliance with QA requirements for the design, construction, manufacture and installation of nuclear power equipment. Identify deviations which could create safety hazards or malfunctions and return associated documentation to design engineering or to higher level QA personnel with recommended solutions
  • Preferred knowledge of national consensus standards of quality assurance, such as, AWS structural welding code, ISO, Six Sigma, ANSI/ASME NQA1 and Appendices, ANSI N45.2 and the daughter standards, IEEE Standards, and U.S. NRC Regulatory Guide series
  • Minimum 2 year associates degree required
  • Experience required with product conformity documentation, both deliverable and internal
