Would you like to be involved on one of the most important and exciting energy projects of the decade? We are looking for a Commercial Analyst - Deployment based at our offices in Leeds

Role description The team you will be working in is responsible for longer term strategic smart deployment planning, including external regulatory submissions to DECC & OFGEM; as well as impact assessing long-term deployment risks and opportunities; and working with stakeholder groups across the wider business to develop and assess smart deployment scenarios.

You will support in defining and developing npowers smart deployment strategy, through analysis, reviewing options and ongoing assessment of business objectives/drivers/constraints, risks and opportunities and regulatory obligations.

Utilising your comprehensive analysis skills, commercial acumen and Microsoft Excel expertise, you will provide npowers Smart Programme and Metering Division with business analysis and modelling capability to support decision making. Your focus will be to configure smart deployment scenarios using the Deployment Optimisation Tool (which is built on top of a SAS platform). Through this youll produce smart deployment plans aligned to various planning channels.

We are seeking a confident and organised individual who has excellent analytical and communication skills to influence stakeholders. You will be committed to delivering results by working collaboratively with peers and stakeholders across the business.

Key skills and experience Ideally have experience in a variety of relevant commercial, analytical or strategic areas in the energy, utilities, telecommunications industries or similar

Highly analytical, works well under pressure with an in-depth problem solving mentality

Communicating, negotiating and influencing at a medium to senior level

The ability to rigorously assess opportunities, risks and business options in financial and non-financial terms

Ability to work to demanding targets and deadlines in a highly pressurised environment

Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages (particularly advanced Excel ) and experience of SAS or similar analytical software
