Role synopsis
The Finance Process COE Analyst supports the Finance Process COE Assistant Manager in providing business and system support, ensure timely and accurate Management Information (MI), Group Financial Results (GFR) and reporting to the GBS Asia, Group finance and business/functions while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures in the drive for exceptional customer service, operational excellence and compliance. This role will require significant amount of hands-on activity in support of these tools .

Key accountabilities
  • Provide data to stakeholders for forecasting, budgeting, quarterly performance reviews, ad-hoc reports and queries and system support to the respective users in GSB Asia Finance teams, business and functions.
  • Resolve issues and troubleshoot non-complex reconciliation issues in the respective systems to ensure integrity of data and proper integration or escalate as necessary , and recommend changes to address the root cause of the problem appropriately.
  • Facilitate work requests associated with changes through to completion including coordination with other BP partners and Outsourced Service Providers (OSPs), testing and handover.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training to end-users on the respective systems as and when necessary.
  • Ensure that the data input into the respective systems are reconciled appropriately and smooth delivery of robust MI processes that support delivery of functional performance and ensure accuracy of data and deadlines are met .
  • Ensure integrity of financial data across the multiple systems and interfaces used .
  • Ensure accurate collection and consolidation of Group Finance cost reporting information.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of specific systems support for the business / functions.
  • Perform system administration activities for assigned systems. Participate in user support forums and Master Data governance meetings.
  • Get familiarity with customer function/ business systems and be able to support unexpected occurrences (e.g. system downtime) and deliver effective solutions to system issues
  • Provide support to new business model.
  • Work closely with Group Finance to resolve issues and implement system enhancements

Essential Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science or related field

Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably with a strong knowledge of Financial Processes, Systems and Reporting with proven proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, JDE, ISP). Experience of general reporting processes, systems and Excel (use of pivots and V-Lookups)

Desirable criteria & qualifications
  • Previous experience in the Finance industry.
  • Proven proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, JDE).
  • Shared service centre experience.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
  • Able to multitask when required, with a strong track record of delivery
  • Experience in Management Information reporting and budgeting is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Recognised professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, ACA or QBE
  • Good knowledge on finance processes with relevant internal control experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships effectively within a diverse group
