The role is accountable for value creation through full life-cycle ownership of the products &services within the Product Line team Turbine in North Africa (NA) and East-Mediterranean Iraq Pakistan (EMIP) Sub-Regions of MEA.He/She is responsible for leading,planning,organizing,directing the execution strategy for the contractual &transactional business in PS delivering the OTR short &medium term objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

•Develop business strategy for the portfolio & provide feedback on market dynamics
•Accountable for the products and NA & EMIP customers offerings w/in the product line,driving direction in all matters related to margin,revenue,market share &investment
•Delivers Products & Services for current & future needs of our customers in the Sub-Regions, increase market share & profitability for the Company
•Leads Product line strategy/NPI decisions.Influences Strategic/tactical pricing
•Leads country activities between ITO & OTR for financials, CM&U application, & contract enhancement & customer value initiatives
•Own customer operations relationship at Region level w/ a primary responsibility for ensuring that Customer Operational CTQs are fully met & satisfied
•Understands CTQs at all levels w/in customer org & propose, identify & upgrade to maximize customer assets IRR. Promote Customer-GE "assets value" co-creation growth initiatives.Manage OTR escalations for customer issues
•Build & maintain partnership & close cooperation w/ a highly matrixed organization Sales, marketing,technology,supply chain & other functions to ensure collaboration & teamwork in delivering a quality product to our customers & consistency w/ cross countries Fleet customers
•Partner w/ other relevant PS functions on business reviews, OP/session II plan &ensure related actions to meet the business plan
•Drive forecasting & tracking of the operations plan in collaboration w/ finance to ensure predictable results
•Determine geographies/sub regions we should operate in.Build a network of partners w/in these geographies
•Develop terms & conditions,training specific to the product line,pricing,margin & EHS for the program to be deployed to the partners;segmenting based on expertise.
•Collaborate w/ product technology owners & solution teams to normalize/prioritize requirements,account for regulatory compliance trends,simplify the way we deliver to the market place, project sales w/ accuracy,& be accountable for manufacturing delivery.
•Lead efforts to improve quality across the Region developing customer specific action items & leveraging productivity tools to drive growth & customer satisfaction
•Influence & drive the partnership w/ the fulfillment organization & functional leadership for operational excellence & customer satisfaction
•Influence engineering&technology teams to enhance flexible plant operation,drive technical issue resolution & maximize plant reliability w/ a consistent approach in coordination w/ sales strategies
•Responsible for developing & implementing a monitoring program to ensure quality & compliance, undertake the necessary corrective & preventive actions resulting from Quality noncompliance monitoring & audit programs
•Identify the long-term needs & opportunities for the business in order to create significant market power & sustainable competitive advantage
•Manage &mitigate technical risks across the portfolio w/in the country
•Lead Compliance Operational execution including EHS & Quality at plant & country levels
•Collaborate w/ GGO & other PS functions to enhance synergies & outside world connections to promote GE brand
•Develop,plan &lead the implementation of the MEA Steam Turbine blue print
•Identify growth opportunities via adjacencies,alliances, &partnerships
•Direct & participate in the development of the growth in sales,margin, &cash
•Drive Marketing to best enter into the external market place & best support sales
•Drive opportunities by defining "quantifiable" customer value, targeting sites linked to value,defining strategy while engaging sales, service & execution teams & define the best path to market for proposed product solutions & be able to implement change as necessary
•Align the sales force around the go to market strategy.Frame & communicate the value proposition & measures against competition
•Engage on NPI programs & support NPI timely & in-budget execution


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline from an accredited university or college
• Minimum 10 additional years of experience in product management, marketing, sales or execution
• At least 8+ years of experience in an operational role
• Prior experience in a financial background with P&L experience is valued
• Ability to speak English and Arabic is valued
• Six Sigma training is preferred
