Responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the site strategy on Environmental Health & Safety challenges, predominantly by leading the project & Service sites for GE Renewable Energy-South East Asia Region.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Manage all aspects of GE Renewable Wind projects
and permits in compliance with relevant regulatory programs and GE corporate policies. Ensure appropriate management of consultants and legal counsel on
all projects and coordinate efforts of other EHS staff members and site EHS professionals on various projects as required in the region.
2. Establish and enhance EHS programs SEA region wide.
3. Participate to the Project Kick-off meeting with Project manager, customer, Contractor/Contractors and sub-Contractors in order to promote GE EHS exigencies.
4. When required, identifies and trains a site EHS representative who will be staffed in the project site team under authority of site manager for the execution of
the project.
5. Advise and assist in the investigation of serious accidents and dangerous occurrences. Where required, assist in the reporting of all such cases to regulatory
6. Identify EHS training required by people involved in the project execution, and provide assistance in organizing such training. Coordinate with Site Managers
and, where appropriate, advise on training to improve the existing knowledge of personnel on Environmental, Health, and Safety matters.
7. Liaise with the representatives of enforcement agencies.
8. Liaise with customer EHS and Operations staff, to ensure GE meets their EHS expectations for the projects & service , and quickly addresses and responds to
any EHS concerns they raise.
9. Provide EHS support to the Project Manager, Site Manager, Site EHS Representative, and other project staff as required.
10. Manage and mentor the site EHS representatives.
11. Ensure all required internal and external EHS reporting is completed on time.


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in EHS - Functional Management.

Desired Characteristics

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree and/or professional certifications in EHS domain.
2. Experience managing projects and/or EHS compliance in Thailand or International environmental laws.
3. Able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information
4. Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse, cross-functional, internal and external team.
5. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
