Our team primarily consults on business performance improvement and one of our major focuses for this is working with design teams on the implementation of Production Management (also known as Last Planner in Lean construction). However, the work we do spans a range of other innovative performance and business improvement initiatives. We are part of the Jacobs UK PMCM (Project Management / Construction Management) arm and function as internal management consultants to the other Jacobs business units as well as outside consultants and contractors. This has the benefit of allowing our team to work on a multitude of projects, which are often high-value and high-profile, as well as a range of sectors, from Highways, to Rail, to Utilities, to Sustainable Solutions, to Nuclear and Buildings and Infrastructure.

The role would include working with engineers and project managers to improve project delivery through practical application of Lean concepts and industry project management best practice. The role also requires frequent facilitation of sessions, giving presentations and coaching teams and individuals.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience Required

Candidates should have a strong foundation in Lean concepts in a construction/consulting engineering setting, though an eagerness to learn further is also a must.

Candidates should also be comfortable or willing to become comfortable with practice at successfully managing/delivering facilitation of sessions, giving presentations and coaching teams and individuals.

Candidates should also hold a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management or related Civil Engineering/Project Management Discipline, though other Lean industry experience will be considered.
