Role synopsis
This role is global in scope and is responsible for managing, developing, and implementing channel strategy for the Branded and Independent Workshop channels for the Bikes lubes business. The Bike Point program is a key strategic pillar and growth driver for the fast growing Bikes business. Channel marketing in Independent Workshops in Bikes is a potent tool for the Castrol power brand strategy, as Bikes consumers have much earlier and more visible access to this channel than in cars. The ambition for this role is to rapidly expand our access to customers and consumers through Bike Points, enhance trading up to Power 1 and Scooter through advocacy and develop mechanisms to make our Bike Point offers compelling for retaining customers.

Key accountabilities
  • Lead in developing and implementing channel strategy with emphasis on branded and Independent
  • Workshops - and articulating it through best practice Toolkits for markets.
  • Responsible for innovative workshop offer development, monitor implementation and effectiveness of the offers.
  • Plan and execute global marketing programs in the workshop channels in a timely, rigorous and collaborative manner
  • Expand and manage the BikePoint and Castrol branded workshops by strengthening and differentiating the workshop offers, developing and executing training programs and merchandising solutions, measuring and monitoring ongoing results & providing strategic direction to the country teams on growing profitably through this network.
  • Help facilitate and accelerate local adaptation of global initiatives
  • Work closely with in country Space Managers and workshop manager to generate deep customer
  • insights
  • Ensure transfer of best practices across the countries in the region by institutionalizing sharing forums
  • Build capability in the sales team by working with them in the key markets
  • Build systems and processes that ensure business knowledge and customer insights are available for transition of knowledge and capability to new entrants in the sales and marketing teams
  • Ensure that the channel development and offer design are contemporary and customer-centric by staying abreast with the latest practices in the industry

Essential Education
University degree

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Sales and marketing experience (9 to 12 years) would be essential for this role
  • The ideal candidate would be familiar with all aspects of channel marketing and offer development and would have had front line exposure to customers in a past role.
  • Previous exposure to a regional scope role would also be beneficial.
  • Prior experience in a brand management role is desirable
  • Fluency in English is required for this role.
