The Project Manager reports to the Materials & Planning Manager and is responsible for planning and order management for assigned projects within the Service Center. The Project Manager is responsible for accepting and planning customer demands and to ensure that the execution team has all the required materials to meet the agreed customer Critical Quality Characteristics (CTQs).

Essential Responsibilities

•Execute projects to plan
•Manage the projects by slotting demands within the service center capacity
•Coordinate between Fulfilment Cells and Optimisation team to ensure demands are executed to the agreed customer promise dates
•Balance factory production capacity, load simulation and project scheduling for allocated projects
•Acts as primary interface to the customer / maintaining customer relationships through meetings, correspondence, negotiations, claim management
•Responsible for project execution with a focus of On Time Delivery, Lead Time Reduction & Costs Reduction including project scheduling, monitoring of cost and production
•Ensure maintenance of data integrity in ERP system in relation to job status, critical dates, availability/assignment of project materials
•Ensure accurate and timely updates to the Optimisation and other stakeholders
•Ensure coordination of projects spanning multiple production Cells
•Materials requirement planning optimization within the appropriate ERP system
•Coach and develop employees to support their performance Development
•Track & trend metrics to drive delivery in the cell
•Collaborate with GRS Logistics teams to ensure timely inbound/outbound events
•To act according to defined Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety instructions, including general and company own rules.
•To undertake any other duty and responsibility as may be required by the Line Manager


•Engineering or Applicable alternative Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) or suitable practical experience
•Business recognised Project management experience/qualifications
•Experience with forecasting, budgeting and planning
•Experience with inventory management and project management tools
•Inclusive leadership & communication skills
•Experience dealing with customers and commercial activity
•Demonstrated ability to self-direct within defined responsibilities
•Knowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods
•Must be a team player willing to sacrifice individual goals when needed
