Position Summary

Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice and we have a need for an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to join our team in the Philadelphia PA office.

The Electrical Construction Project Manager will plan, direct and coordinate electrical construction projects to ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Primary responsibilities:

• Serve as Jacob Engineering's prime contact with clients.
• Management and monitoring of work performed by the construction contractor.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and weekly or monthly summary reports.
• Verify and document that all work is being constructed in accordance with project specifications and plans.
• Report and document non-conforming work.
• Review and make recommendations on the contractor's CPM schedule and payment applications.
• Review and make recommendations on contractor change orders.
• Make recommendations on major project related technical, cost, scheduling decisions.
• Develop and/or comply with project specific quality control and assurance programs.
• Develop and/or comply with project specific safety programs.
• Manage subcontractors.
• Manage a team of field quality control inspection staff.
• Manage the control and distribution of project documentation.
• Create a Beyond Zero site safety culture.
• Responsible for promoting continuing client relations.

• A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in construction management required. Construction Manager Certification or professional registration preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications required.
• Valid Driver's license with the willingness and means to travel to construction sites in the Philadelphia / Delaware Valley area, including southeastern Pennsylvania, southern NJ and Delaware required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills required.
• Ability to meet the established fitness for duty requirements. Physical ability to traverse construction sites having rough terrain and climb ladders and scaffolding to inspect construction activities required.
