Position Summary

In this role the Structural/Bridge Engineer will design transportation structures including rail road bridges, retaining walls, culverts, foundations and other structures for railroads and other transportation projects. Develops plans, specification and quantities; prepare engineering reports, may work on multiple simultaneous projects. May perform quality control check of others' designs, provide services during construction support, including shop drawing review and assistance with RFIs.

• Acts as part of a team of professionals on multiple projects. Ability to identify and solve design and construction challenges is required.

• Interacts with team members on the project and assists in the coordination of work among engineers and detailers. Strong organizational, interpersonal and effective communications skills are required.

This position is located in our Orange, CA office.

• BS in Civil Engineering required, Masters preferred.

• PE registration required/SE is a plus.

• 7-10 years of engineering experience related to transportation structures mostly related to railroad structures, including bridges, retaining walls, noise walls and foundations.

• Seismic experience is a must.

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills required.

• Proficient knowledge of SAP2000, CSiBridge, GTSTRUDL, MIDAS or other structural design/analyses programs desirable.

• Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus required.

• Experience with,AREMA, s required.

• Performs other duties as required.
