We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager in our WECTEC organization located in Charlotte, NC.

In this position, a Construction Manager can expect to be responsible for the following:

This Construction Manager is a mid-level position in the Construction Function reporting directly to the Director of Construction or Site Construction Manager and responsible for supervising daily activities of construction subcontractors, technical or production staff in their assigned area.  The CM2 sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
  • Providing construction guidance and expertise to team in areas including project execution planning, and work planning and scheduling; and problem resolution
  • Monitoring area construction performance against plan and budget, evaluating area progress, and supporting development of recovery plans when necessary
  • Assisting in developing area/project subcontracting strategies and the formation and award of construction subcontracts
  • Keeping abreast of construction and EPC industry execution trends and best practices for incorporation into company construction program and processes
  • Supervising area team of employees and/or subcontract personnel in successful execution of the work plan
  • Communication to Project and Functional leadership on status of construction work in area of responsibility

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • BS in Engineering discipline or Construction Management or equivalent working experience
  • 10-15 years heavy industrial construction execution experience
  • Experience in construction planning
  • Advanced communication skills (written and oral)
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience reading and understanding P6 schedules and providing status updates
